Hello, my name is Ryan Standifird, 3rd year Creative Writing major at the University of California, Riverside and co-founder of the up-and-coming screen printing company, Ins(eye)t. Together with my amazing girlfriend Krislynn Jubenville, head artist, Juan Pablo Garcia, and the awesome Ryonet family (Screen Printing supply company), we hope to start making visually stunning T-shirts that will appeal to artists, teenagers, and the college scene as well.
Ins(eye)t is all about art. Original art from a collection of friends who just need a platform to get their stuff out there. Nobody wants to see someone else wearing the same T-shirt as them, and that’s what we offer: original ideas and awesome designs. We put all the work into the shirts ourselves.
How We Got Started
I came home one day after doodling in class and I showed the image to my mother, who of course took it to the next level and insisted I started making T-shirts. The idea had never come to me before, so I started doing some research and found a video contest online sponsored by Ryonet. The winner would receive a free 4-color print press. I submitted a 3-minute video that was different from the others in the contest. While most people just sat infront of a camera and rambled on about their stories and situations, I couldn’t follow the herd. I decided to take a more artistic approach to the video but unfortunately I didn’t even make the top 10.
But after the contest, I was contacted by Ryonet and was offered free screen-printing lessons. Krislynn and I jumped on it and before you knew it we were making our own tutorial shirts with great results. Now, with the help of a 2-color printing press from Ryonet, we have the means to produce our own designs and get them onto t-shirts. Thanks Ryonet!
Stay tuned for our upcoming designs and blogs as we start from scratch. From screen emulsion to flash-drying, you’ll be with us every step of the way on our T-shirt making adventure. Until then…
